   Dion was born on Mondi, a Lilurian colony world. Searching for a way to avoid military service, Dion signed on as crew on a Free Trader. 

    Originally hired as the ships steward, Dion learned to pilot the ship (Pilot-1), but when he undertook a medical course (Medical-1), the captain made him 4th Officer and ships medic. Exposure to offworlders apparently made him a little more resistant to disease and the exercise he got handling cargo helped with his general fitness (+1 END). (Term 1)

    The captain frequently ran risks smuggling contraband, in order to make ends meet, and Dion quickly learned how to conduct himself amongst the shady customers that they were forced to deal with (Streetwise-1). (Term 2)

    Exposure to higher tech level worlds let him become familiar with grav vehicles which weren't common on Mondi (Air/raft-1). (Term 3)

    The ship began to show it's age, by breaking down on a semi-regular basis, and all crew were frequently drafted into helping with the repairs (Mechanical-1). Dion too, began to show his age, he noticed that he tended to struggle more with heavy loads and needed to rest more often (Ageing: -1 STR, -1 END). (Term 4)

    Sticking around for a fifth term of service, in order to get a small pension, he found himself dealing with some increasingly unsavoury characters, (Streetwise-2) as the captain started to take almost any job, regardless of legality, in order to pay the bills. Dangerous as it was, it did pay off, with the profits enabling the captain to not only pay off his ship, but also pay for a complete overhaul, and he was able to set up a trust fund to pay for crew pensions should they serve long enough to earn one. (Term 5)

    Dion mustered out with a low passage ticket, a shotgun, Cr26,000 in savings, and a small pension Cr4,000.

    Dion can be found at any starport, except X Class. He'll have been contemplating his next move for the last several hours. If he returns to Mondi he may still be required to serve in the military, so he's decided against doing that, but that's the only thing he's decided upon so far. Which means he may be open to suggestions.
