Catching Up Too.

I also ordered and received Khurasan Minaitures' Interstellar Foreign Legion Platoon Deal, a Heavy Mortar and Autocannon pack with Foreign Legion Crew and a Mako Tractor to mount either the Mortar or Autocannon on. Plus the Biscuitship Experimentees pack.

They arrived about two weeks ago, except for the Biscuitship Experimentees. The authorities were notified and the experimentees were found. Apparently they were AWOL when the ship departed Khurasan System for the Foran System. A search of the local dives and houses of ill repute, rounded them up and they are now being held in a cell until suitable transportation can be arranged with the next tramp freighter making the jump between Khurasan and Foran. The delay is due in part to the availability of ships and the backlog of cargoes at Khurasan Highport. Starport officials are busily trying to clear this backlog. Until then the Experimentees will have to stew in their cell(s).

The Legion arrived as ordered and has been employed to augment the Pangalactic Legion (from Rebel Minis) forces of Sub-Commander Amelia (for those who don't know, the sub-commander is my three year old granddaughter).
The Interstellar Foreign Legion are to be amalgamated with the Pangalactic Legion and renamed the Synod Legion. The Synod Legion is a combined arms force of sophonts, serving the Synod of Worlds.
(The Synod of Worlds is taken from Art of War Games line of products for Sci-fi wargamers).

The new recruits are from some of the more exotic Chosen, their physical forms vary considerably and equipment modifications are constantly being applied to find the right fit for each Legionary.

The Platoon Deal consists of four different packs of 4 or 5 figures. These can be seen in the picture above, with the MAKO tractor and weapons pack in the foreground.

The two figures on the left are apparently having a nap on the base of my lamp, and I am not allowed to disturb them, by order of Sub-Commander Amelia.

The Heavy Mortar and Twin Autocannon in the foreground come with an x shaped stand, which fits neatly into the mounting frame of the MAKO Tractor.

The figures are all well sculpted, the detail is, as usual, excellent. There is some flash, particularly on the bases. I noted that the bases seem way to small to support some of the figures. It's not really an issue as I will be basing them on washers and I assume it cuts down on the costs per figure. A few require some assembly.

I love the figures, so does Sub-Commander Amelia and we recommend them to anyone as a good buy. They are perfect for any interspecies military organisation. Although I would like to see some small packs of each species made available for purchase as well. Just to round them out a bit.

The one thing I failed to order was a command figure, apparently he is separate to the platoon deal. I'll order him to board the same ship as the Experimentees when the backlog is cleared.

Five Alpha, Out.
