Civilians, Colonists, Cops, etc.

I recently placed an order (well actually a while ago now, this post has been in draft for some time) for most of the packs in GZG's Civilians, Colonists, Cops, etc. As usual they were delivered pretty fast, about 12 days after I ordered them.

I got these figures to help flesh out my Insurgency Campaign Project. With that project being rolled over into my Wargaming in the Third Imperium Project they'll serve extra duty fleshing out more scenarios than originally planned.

Armed crew figures in light duty vacc-suits (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V15. All carry a holstered sidearm, while five carry a weapon with a drum magazine mounted forward of the trigger guard. The remaining three appear to have some type of carbine or SMG, with the magazine appears to protrude from the base of the pistol grip. The vacc suits appear to be of the soft variety, so they are probably at best the equivalent of ballistic fibre body armour. Cloth in Traveller, Light or No Armour in SGII or TW.

Civilians/colonists pack A (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V01. Two each of four poses. One pose is an adult male right arm akimbo, wearing some sort of vest and utility belt over his clothes, the next is another male in the same sort of gear. The next two are female wearing the same sort of clothing but with fewer pouches on the belt, one of them is carrying a satchel, of some sort, it's quite large and she appears to be holding it against her hip/upper thigh with one hand, so either it is rather light or it is attached to her belt or is slung over her shoulder, although I cannot see any strap.

Civilians/colonists pack A (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V02. Two each of four poses. These figures appear to be wearing short jackets, over a shirt and trousers. One female with arms akimbo wears a wide brimmed hat, the other female with pigtails appears to be drinking from a bottle or canteen. The first male is wearing an Ushanka style hat and has his right hand in his trouser pocket, while the second male has no hat and appears to be holding a rolled up something, perhaps a towel, tool roll, or a really thick newspaper, (I can't really tell).

Young civilians/colonists (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V03. Two each of four poses. Again these are two female and two male poses, wearing similar clothing to SG15-V01. They represent teenagers, and stand about a head shorter than the adult figure shown on the left. From left to right we have an adult female for comparison. A female wearing a sort of belted tunic over shirt and pants or jumpsuit. A young male with short dreadlocks. Another male with short hair wearing almost identical clothing. A long haired female wearing the same belted tunic as the other female.

Techs and Crew (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V04. Two each of four poses. Again we have two females and two males, who all seem to be wearing a standard jumpsuit or coverall. Starting from left to right we ahve a male wearing a pair of goggles high on his head and carrying a tool kit with two really big latches on the side, either that or he has a really big lunch box. Next is a female wearing a baseball cap backwards and has a ponytail hanging down the back, she also has a belted satchel or pack hanging down over her left hip and is holding a datapad in her left hand. The second female has long unbound hair and wears the same sort of belted pack, she's also carrying some sort of bag, satchel or pack in her left hand. The last pose is a male wearing a forage cap, left arm akimbo and is carrying a very large tool kit, (it's almost right size to be a cat box, maybe he has Jonesy in there).

Colonial Security (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V05. Two each of four poses. As usual there are two female and two male poses. They all wear a security uniform and cap and carry sidearms (holstered or otherwise) the males are also carrying shotguns. I'm not sure what the cap is it actually resembles the riding helmet my daughter wore at pony club more than anything else, but I expect it's meant to be a forage or baseball cap.

Colonial Security (Cops) pack 2 (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V06. Two each of four poses. As before there are two female and two male poses. They all wear the same security uniform and cap and carry sidearms (holstered or otherwise) this time one of the females carries a shotgun and the other three have their sidearms drawn, the males have assumed a firing position.

Armed Civilians/Colonists pack A (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V07. Two each of four poses. Again there are two female and two male poses. From left to right we have a male holding a SMG in his right hand while talking on a handheld comm unit. A female wearing a baseball cap wielding a Spas12 style shotgun. A male with a shotgun, and finally a female with long hair tied in back holding a large semi-auto handgun.
Armed Civilians/Colonists pack B (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V08. Two each of four poses. This time they're all males. From left to right: Baseball cap, utility belt and pump action shotgun. Longish hair, utility belt and semi-auto handgun. The next two look like farmers since both are wearing wellingtons or gumboots and a coat. Both also appear to be wielding bolt action hunting rifles. The guy with the wide brimmed hat has a scope mounted on his.

Armed Civilians/Colonists pack C (8 figs) Product Code: SG15-V09. Two each of four poses. for a change we have one male pose and three female poses. From left to right: A big burly male wearing an overcoat and big wide brimmed hat, I'm not sure what his weapon is but I'm going to call it an automatic shotgun. Next is a female wearing a short jacket and carrying a Spaz12 style shotgun. A female with a ponytail, wearing a baseball cap and holding a semi-auto handgun. Another female with a ponytail, carrying a Spaz12 at the high port.

Spacesuited crew in light-duty vacc-suits - 4 male and 4 female, 8 assorted figures from 5 variants. Product Code: SG15-V10. All carry holstered sidearms and wear the same sort of vacc suit as SG15-V15 (at the top of the post above). Left to right: Male crew member carry a cylinder of some sort. Female crew member carry a tool box or sample container. A male that for some reason appears to have a really short left arm. a female with normal arms and finally a male, the same pose as the left most figure but carrying a bag instead of a cylinder.

Armed crew figures in heavy EVA vacc-suits (6 figs) Product Code: SG15-V14. Two each of three poses. No obvious gender visible. These guys don't appear to have sidearms. Left to right: The first two figures have the same drum fed weapon as SG15-V15, and the last has the same SMG type weapon as SG15-V15. The suit looks a lot sturdier than the light duty vacc suit, so it should probably be rated at least as light armour or better.

Spacesuited crew in zero-G poses, light and EVA suits, 6 assorted figures plus 6 bases (stand wires not supplied). Two each of three poses. Product Code: SG15-V12. Four of the figures wear the light duty vacc suit and two of those are female, the males carry a sample or tool bag. The other two figures wear the heavy duty vacc suit, they too carry a sample or tool bag. Each figure comes with a base, but you will need to provide your own wire stand to mount them on.

Spacesuited crew in heavy-duty EVA vacc-suits - 6 assorted figures from 4 variants. Product Code: SG15-V11. Left to right: There are two of these guys holding a tool box or sample container. Next we have a guy with a tool or weapon that uses some serious power considering the power pack he is carrying in his other hand. The next figure has the same pose as the left most figure but carries a different style box or container. Lastly we have two of this empty handed pose.

Some of these sculpts are a bit old I think. There's a bit more flash on some of them than I'm used to with GZG's figures, not too much, just a little more than usual. The detail is still good however, and these will make a good addition to my collection and table top games.

Mixed in with other manufacturers civilian figures these will provide a diverse range of civilians. I really liked the youth/teen figures, and the number of female sculpts amongst the whole range.
