Action Stations!!!!
My order from GZG arrived today, this was the smaller of two orders placed during Jon's birthday week sale/give aways. This order was a Double Intro Fleet Pack: Kra'Vak and FSE.
I got some birthday freebies in this one, which included a Kra'Vak Si'Tek class Patrol Cruiser and 3x Heavy Strikers and for the FSE 3x Daphne Class Corvettes and 1x Colbert Class Escort Cruiser.
There's good detail on these models, very little flash, but some of the Kra'Vak ships, in particular, the Di'tok Destroyers, Ka'Tak Frigates and Heavy Strikers needed to have the post mounting holes drilled out. On some they were little more than pin prick sized and others were non-existent. Also I discovered that the Va'Dok Heavy Cruiser shipped with two left side weapons nacelles and none for the right side.
I understand that Jon had a considerable backlog to get through and mistakes would be made, so I'll do a little work on the nacelles to make them fit correctly.
The FSE fleet is better, with no missing parts. Kind of hard to do when most ships are single piece castings.
Shame I missed out on the freebies with the other order, but it was my fault. I typed a birthday message in the comments box, but clicked back to add some more items to the order. Once I'd got everything I wanted in the order I clicked through the purchase options, not realising that by clicking back I'd erased the birthday message. Bummer.
I'll post pictures of these again once their painted and based.
