Kra'Vak Revisited Part 2

Organisation
When I bought my Kra'Vak I actually ordered one of every pack (new sculpts only). Organising them using David D. Taylors Kra'Vak Design Doctrine left me with way too many spare figures and modifying the weapons load out of each team was unsatisfactory. Slight modifications to Robert Deakins Kra'Vak Order Of Battle allows more of my figures to be used. I'm left with about eight spare, which I intend to use as dismounted vehicle and/or heavy weapon crew.

So here's my Kra'Vak TQ&E :

Kra'Vak Organisation and TO&E:
Starting at the top we have:
(Kra'Vak word needed) - The Kra'Vak Dominion.

(Kra'Vak word needed) - House or Clan (7 Great Houses, many lesser).

(Kra'Vak word needed) - War Family, an extended tribal bloodline group of several hundred Kra’Vak within a clan. The size of which is often denoted by how many Skulls it can field, (usually 1-8).

(Kra'Vak word needed) - Skull, which is comprised of 2x Eyes, 2x Strike Arms, 4x Fangs and 2x Legs.

(Kra'Vak word needed) – A Strike Arm is comprised of 1x Command Claw and 3x Combat Claws.

(Kra'Vak word needed) - Command Claw is comprised of 1x Commander, 1x CommsTech, 4x Warriors. (the Commander and CommTech have Ra’Sak gauss carbines, the warriors have 2x Da’Sak gauss MGs and 2x Va’Sak gauss IAVRs).

(Kra'Vak word needed) - Combat Claw is comprised of 6x Warriors. (they have 4x Ko’Sak gauss rifles and 2x Da’Sak gauss MGs).

(Kra'Vak word needed) – Each Eye is comprised of 1x Commander, and 3x Warriors, all are trained snipers and forward observers. (the commander carries specialised vision enhancement and communications equipment, the rest carry Lo’Sak gauss long rifles).

(Kra'Vak word needed) – Each Fang is comprised of 6x Warriors, who are armed with 1x Ko’Sak, 3x Da’Sak and 2x Va’Sak.

(Kra'Vak word needed) – 1st Leg provides engineering, raiding and transport services. 2nd Leg provides forward obs for Ortillery and aerospace support assets, as well as security details and construction.

TROOP QUALITY
Troop Quality has a direct impact on armour, movement and sensors. Troop Quality can be assigned to fit with a particular scenario or campaign. To determine Troop Quality randomly roll a D6 for each small unit.
1      2     3     4     5
Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Troop Quality  Notes
1-4                                     Green                       Juveniles (usually from 7-17 years old)
5 1-4 1-3 1 Regular Warriors (usually from 17-25 years old)
6 5-6 4-5 2-5 1-2 Veteran Elder Warriors (usually 26-50 yrs old)
6 6 3-6 Elite Elder Warriors (usually 50-150 yrs old)

Troop Quality Notes: The four columns represent the chance for units who are 1: Usually Green,
2: Usually Regular, 3: Usually Regular or Veteran, 4: Usually Veteran and 5: Usually Elite.
  • 1st Eye is usually Elite (5)
  • 2nd Eye is usually Veteran (4)
  • Fangs are usually Regular or Veteran (3)
  • 1st Strike Arm always Regular or better,
roll (1d4 +1 for each Claw the result equals the column to roll on)
  • 2nd Strike Arm usually Green, roll for each claw (1)
  • Within the Strike Arms,
the Command Claw will always be at least equal to the highest quality Combat Claw.
  • Legs usually Green (1)
There is no difference between Kra’Vak society and its military. They are one and the same.
Every Kra’Vak is a warrior.

I have not worked out TO&Es for Power Armour, Mounted Kra’Vak, or Armoured Forces, yet.

I have not yet found any better rules for Kra’Vak psychology than those in David D. Taylors
Kra'Vak Design Doctrine, so I’ll continue to use them.

I haven't assigned Kra'Vak names for the types of units yet, so if anyone wants to chime in with some, go right ahead.

Five Alpha, out.
