I went and bought 200x 1/4 washers today, cost me 10c each, so $20. I think I might find a wholesaler, because I ran out before I could get through all my figure. Here are the ones I've done:

Also picked up a bag of Plaster of Paris for the blister packs, meat trays and other bits I've been saving as potential moulds for terrain features. I have a number of old computer parts which I'll cannibalise for tech attachments to buildings and such.
I stopped in at a pet store as well and bought one of those plastic plants for fish tanks, which I'm going to cut up and turn into extraterrestrial trees.
I have a lot of work ahead of me, and I'm also expecting a lot of fun.
