Benefits: Cutlass, Low Psge
Baroness Tamela Deladap is one of the few nobles who supported the Junta. She had already been in the military for a couple of years (Cutlass-1, Vacc Suit-1, ATV-1, and +1 STR). At the time of the revolution, despite her title, the Baroness Deladap was serving as a common trooper. Not known for her original thinking Tamela simply followed orders rather than consciously choose a side. During the fighting in and around the capital, she was promoted to Lieutenant (Commissioned). The man she replaced handed her his revolver before dying of his wounds. She used it often during the continued fighting (Revolver-1).
Once the junta was in place she was assigned duties in the prisons. Those duties included guarding and sometimes beating political prisoners while they were being interrogated (Brawling-1).
She continued to serve and saw some action during patrols around the life support systems and resource allocation facilities, the latter were on the surface at the starport, during this time she developed a knack for moving rapidly in the low gravity (+1 DEX).
Gradually it dawned on her that she was one of a very few nobles who still served, the majority had sided with the old government and many of those had already been imprisoned, tortured, and killed. Indeed she had taken part in some of those torture sessions. Her noble title was apparently seen as a threat by the junta, but while she still served she was merely monitored.
She had begun to notice the toll, that military service exacted, and therefore established a fitness regime to maintain her health as best she could (+1 STR) and improve her swordsmanship (Mustering Out: Cutlass-2), nonetheless she was starting to show her age (Ageing: -1 STR,DEX and END). Approaching the end of her sixteenth year of service, she began to question her choices (Mustering out: +2 INT), and began doing some research into the activities of the junta (both good and bad) (Mustering out: +1 EDU). This aroused suspicions regarding her loyalty and saw her placed on the list of political dissidents. Tamela was actually on guard duty at the starport perimeter entrance, when an over zealous young officer decided to improve his career chances by arresting her. She resisted and during the struggle accidentally stepped over the line of extrality, thereby taking herself out of the officers jurisdiction. Accused of abandoning her post, charged with treason, and threatened with dire consequences if she did not immediately return to Hadi Muuhi territory and face the charges. She simply turned and walked towards the nearest ship.
Hadi Muuhi 0106 C300864-6 Na Va Mr G
Referee: The Baroness Tamela Deladap is a conflicted woman, she questions her decisions and actions over the years, especially those that directly led to the deaths of political prisoners, some of whom she knew socially before the revolution. Did she just follow orders because she was afraid to make a choice or was it out of some sense of duty. This is especially difficult for her now, as she no longer has her duty to hide behind. She can no longer return to Hadi Muuhi, since she is now on the political dissident list and will be arrested on sight.
Her history with the junta is also likely to bring her into conflict with any Hadi Muuhi rebels she meets. For despite her low rank, she was always prominent within the junta because of her noble status.
She plans to put some distance between her homeworld and her memories; but will her homeworld and her memories give her that distance? or will they pursue her?
Note: Hadi Muuhi is a vacuum world with TL 6. I rolled marines as her career choice and she was accepted. Hadi Muuhi has only one jump route to Horwan a less populated and higher tech vacuum world. So I thought trade exists between the two, and Hadi Muuhi, a world in decline, relies a little on imported technology through the Horwan jump route (usually TL 7 to 8).
